The mission of the River Valley Technical Center is to educate today's students for tomorrow's careers and for all students to: participate in a positive environment that integrates academic and technical education through applied learning, benefit from teachers' professional growth and continuous improvement of curricula that emphasizes the changing workplace and the pursuit of educational excellence, have the opportunity to attain nationally recognized industry credentials or certifications through the completion of courses and programs, demonstrate a sense of pride and ownership in their school and community, , have the opportunity to explore various career areas and to participate in workplace experiences.

Employment Training
Daytime Technical Education Programs

If you are an adult seeking skills to help you enter the workforce, you can register for any of our 11 daytime programs on a space-available basis. Adults without a high school diploma can take these courses at no cost! Adults with a High School Diploma will be charged a reasonable tuition.

Employment Training
River Valley Advanced Manufacturing Institute

Programs incorporate carefully measured and assessed outcomes with 3rd party, industry recognized credentials like the Certified Manufacturing Associate, Certified SolidWorks Associate and National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS) Level 1 credentials. College credit through several regional community colleges may also be a viable option for some learners. It is highly recommended that learners take all three courses listed below but accommodations can be made for more targeted training. Programs: Manufacturing Processes, Basic Blueprint Reading and GD&T with Certification, Parametric Solid Modeling and CAD using SolidWorks 2025® with Certification, Introduction to Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) and Computer Numerical Control (CNC) with Certification

Get all your tech skills for employment. Learn laptop and desktop basics, internet safety, email, video conferencing, and Microsoft Word and Excel. At the end of the course, students will have the skills needed for employment or career pathways.

LNA Program

Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) program will prepare you for an entry level position in the field of nursing. The classroom and lab portions of this class will be offered at RVTC in Springfield, and the clinicals will be hosted at Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center in Windsor, VT.
