Childcare Access

Pre K Program

The preschool is located at the Howard Dean Education Center and operates on the Springfield School District calendar and the same schedule as Elm Hill & Union Street. We provide full-day, high-quality early childhood education to preschool-age children in the Springfield community at no cost to families. You may find additional information on the SSD website.

All 4 One

All4One is a before, afterschool, early release day and full day program for students in Pre-K-4th grade. All4One is located at the students sending school -
Pre K-1st Grades Elm Hill students at 10 Hoover Street before and afterschool, 2nd-4th Grades Union Street students at 43 Union Street before and afterschool. All4One at Elm and Union operates: before School 6:45 am - 8:00 am, afterschool: 2:45 pm - 5:15 pm. Look at calendar for early release days and full days when school not in session.

Summer Camps

Sports for Squirts(4-6 years of age), Wrestling (5-14 years of age) , Tackle Football(8-12 years of age), Field Hockey(K-5th), Soccer (3th-6th), Basketball (K-8th)

Youth Sports

Fall: Tackle Football (3rd-6th), Flag Football (K-2nd) & Soccer (K-4th) Winter: Basketball (K-6) & Wrestling (K-6) Spring: T-Ball/Baseball/Softball (K-6th)

Y Day Camp

High-quality camps for youth ages 5 (completed kindergarten) to 15 at a 52 acre facility, with nationally-recognized leadership, and a curriculum focused on developing social and leadership skills. Bussing to all of our camps from Brattleboro, Putney, Westminster, Bellows Falls, Chester, Springfield, Walpole and Charlestown to our Lewis Day Camp Facility – 153 Missing Link Road,Springfield, VT. Also includes specialty camps. ALL campers, regardless of income or community of residence, are eligible for a FREE Summer Food Program breakfast and lunch while attending our camp. Information on how to access this valuable service is part of the registration process.

Teen Leadership

Our Leader-in-Training (13-14 year olds) and Counselor-in-Training (14-15 year olds) engage and support teens in a 9-week summer leadership development program. ALL campers, regardless of income or community of residence, are eligible for a FREE Summer Food Program breakfast and lunch while attending our camp. Information on how to access this valuable service is part of the registration process.

Afterschool and Summer Camp Programs

Provides STEAM Learning opportunites such as robotics and drone development, programming, video game development, and more. Summer Programs are for rising 1st-12th graders, first come, first served. Offers a Lending Library for after school programs that include LEGOs, VR headsets, and Makerspace equiptment

Adventure Summer Camp

Climb, swim, explore at the EdgarMay’s Adventure Summer Camp, a week-long day camp for ages 6 to 14. Campers will climb on our 40-foot climbing tower, swim in our pools, and travel around the region for educational, fun field trips. There are eight weeks of camp to choose from. (June 24-August 23)

Head Start

Early Childhood Education and Programs for children and families from Windsor County with children aged birth to 5. Preschool and family supports with referral to additional services as necessary.

PlayWorks Child Center

Quality care and preschool education for children ages 6 weeks to 6 years.
