Children's Integrated Services & Early Intervention

We have a friendly and knowledgeable staff of developmental educators, including a nurse, physical therapist, speech language pathologist, mental health clinician and family support worker for our Children's Integrated Services (CIS) and Early Intervention (EI) programs. These programs are free or covered by insurance and are available for families who have: A child under 3 with suspected or diagnosed medical conditions or developmental delays, A need for family or parenting support, mental health, or preventative nursing services for children under 6.

HEART Program

Helping Everyone Access Resources & Thrive. HEART's Grief and Loss Program supports families as they process and grieve the loss of a pregnancy or infant. One on one counseling for the birthing person & partner, Help with funeral planning or commemorating the loss, Weighted Bear Program, Monthly Grief & Loss Group Meetings, Additional support and resources, Universal eligibility for families currently experiencing loss during pregnancy and infancy, or if the loss has happened over the last 18 months.

Childcare Affordability
Child Care Financial Assistance and Referral

SAPCC is the designated agency in southern Windsor and northern Windham Counties working with families receiving a childcare subsidy. We assist families with applying and managing the caseload of all families receiving this benefit.

Welcome Baby Bags

Any parent or guardian with a baby up to one year old is eligible for a free Welcome Baby Bag filled with gifts and resources. Volunteers donate new items such as baby clothes, blankets, hats, books, and more to provide this program to the community. Almost 200 Welcome Baby Bags were given out to our community last year.

Diaper and Formula Bank

Any parent or guardian living in our service region can access free diapers and wipes from our diaper bank. Additionally, we often have access to formula and other necessities if needed - just ask.

Playgroups

Playgroups are FREE and open to everyone! Free weekly playgroups in Springfield and Windsor provide parents and children with opportunities to socialize, learn and have fun in a safe environment lead by our parent child center specialists. Our playgroups are offered indoors or outdoors, depending on the weather, and include educational field trips in the warmer months, typically no registration required.

Parenting classes are provided by our knowledgeable staff and community partners using evidenced-based and evidence-informed curricula. We also provide support groups, resources and information both online and in-person.

Tienna's Closet

Free community closet with infant, toddler, children's, maternity, and adult clothing and some limited accessories. By appointment only.
