Employment Training, Youth Resources
Mentorship Program
Students in graduate-level health professions programs of study are invited to apply for mentor positions for summer programs for high school youth. Alysia Straw, astraw@svtahec.org
Employment Training
CSHIP program
Internships are paid ($1500), 100 hours, most are remote, project based, and are completed June, July, and August. These are non-clinical internships most are with a nonprofit, public health or social service agencies involved in health care in some way. Student interns complete a project that includes field work and supplemental instruction focused on the roots of health inequity.. Students must currently be enrolled in a degree program engaged in a certification program for a health-related profession.
Employment Training, Youth Resources
MedQuest Programs & Youth Health Career Exploration
Two-day programs for middle and high school students to explore healthcare careers. Also will visit any classroom (middle school, high school, college) or afterschool program to provide health career exploration activities, resources, and materials. Presentations can be tailored to any topic and audience.
